What We Collect
Account data (email, display name, auth tokens), journal data (trade entries, notes, timestamps), performance data (PnL, win rates, session analytics), health data (sleep, readiness — only if you enable Health Connect on Android), habit data (completion logs, streaks), and device data (OS version, crash logs for debugging).
How We Use Your Data
Exclusively to provide and improve EdgeVara: syncing your data across devices, powering the AI coach with your journal context, generating analytics and drift signals, sending notifications you configure, and diagnosing technical issues. We do not use your data for advertising or third-party profiling.
Data Storage
Locally: encrypted SQLite database on your device via Drift — works fully offline. Cloud: synced to a Supabase/Neon-hosted PostgreSQL database when online, encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest. Health data from Health Connect is processed locally and only synced to cloud if you explicitly enable it in Settings.
AI Coach Data
When you use the AI Coach, your journal entries are sent to Anthropic's Claude API to generate responses. We do not use your journal data to train AI models. Anthropic's data processing agreements govern their handling of API requests.
Data Sharing
We share data only with Supabase/Neon (cloud database infrastructure), Anthropic (AI processing for the Coach feature), and Google (authentication if you use Google Sign-In). We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data to any third party. Ever.
Your Rights
You can: access all data we hold (Settings → Export Data), correct inaccurate data, delete your account and all data (Settings → Delete Account), export your journal as CSV at any time, and withdraw consent for health data processing.
Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, all personal data is deleted within 30 days. Aggregated, anonymised analytics with no personal identifiers may be retained indefinitely.
Children
EdgeVara is not intended for users under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such data, contact us immediately.
Changes
We will notify you of material changes to this policy via email or in-app notification at least 14 days before they take effect.
